Great River Rescue Hosts First Pet Fixers Clinic

On Saturday, June 6 & 7, Great River Rescue hosted its first Pet Fixers low-cost spay/neuter clinic at its facility in Bemidji. The event provides low-cost spay/neuter and other preventative care services for dogs and cats of qualified pet owners and caretakers. Over the weekend, a total of 53 animals were sterilized. Surgeries are conducted out of a special trailer converted specially for spay/neuter surgeries. Dr. Paul Anderson and his team performed the surgeries while Great River Rescue volunteers and staff provided support. The next clinic is scheduled for June 13 & 14, with six more to be provided throughout the rest of the year. Learn more and register at petfixer.org.

This weekend’s clinic was sponsored by First National Bank of Bemidji. Through their generous donation, each client received a $20 discount on services.
