Kat’s Book Nook Fosters and Finds Homes for Great River Rescue Cats.

For years, Kat Kaplan, owner and operator of Kat’s Book Nook in Bemidji, has fostered animals for Great River Rescue.  She fosters the adoptable cats right at her bookstore where they get the opportunity to “show-off” their qualities.  The partnership allows Great River Rescue to reach a broader audience and adopt out more pets.  It also gives certain cats a break from life in the shelter, and a chance to open-up and reveal their stress free personalities.

Recently, the Bemidji Pioneer and Lakeland News did stories on this partnership and amazing contributions of Kat Kaplan to Great River Rescue.  Take a moment to see those stories and see the impact she is having on the lives of homeless cats.
