As of November 7, 2022 Great River Rescue has suspended its 100% spay/neuter policy. With the continued veterinary professional shortage, it has become too challenging to continue to get animals spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are encouraged to start a relationship with their own vet and get their adopted pet spayed/neutered. Adopters who provide proof of spay/neuter will receive a refund on their spay/neuter deposit.
