Marina Lovell - Executive Director
As a life-long animal lover, I am honored to be serving the cats and dogs of our shelter and community. I grew up in England, and have been living in Bemidji since the last century🙂and I live with my husband and three dogs out in the countryside. I am passionate about animals, love playing the piano, and enjoy reading – I am blessed to be living my best life, and to be helping our shelter cats and dogs do the same.

“I’m originally from England with a background in IT, but I made a permanent move to the Bemidji area at the end of 2007, and now live in an old farmhouse north of town with my wife, three children, three dogs and two cats. With my maintenance hat on at GRR, I greatly enjoy the diversity that the job brings – it always seems like there’s some new and interesting project to tackle! Outside of the shelter, my main hobbies involve saving and repairing vintage vehicles, mechanical gadgets, and electronics (ancient computers in particular).”

Hi, I’m Tayli! I’m a student at BSU for wildlife biology, and I’m extremely passionate about all animals and nature. I love hiking with my significant other and dog, reading, bird watching, dog training, and just being with my pets which are my dog Grizzly, my cat Minnow, and my hamster Ham Solo.

Hi I’m Daryn! I am from Fargo, ND and just graduated from BSU with a Biology major and a Wildlife Biology minor! While I unfortunately don’t have any pets of my own, I have always loved animals and hope to become a Zoologist or Marine Biologist someday soon! Outside the shelter my hobbies are being active outside, playing volleyball and hanging out with my best friends!
