Lakeland News Highlights Mod Squad Program
Lakeland News recently highlighted the Mod Squad™ Program at Great River Rescue in their Community Spotlight segment. The Mod Squad™ is a volunteer-driven dog behavior modification and training program. It is the first of its kind in the state of Minnesota. The program was brought to Great River Rescue by Dr. Claudeen McAuliffe of the Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Volunteers were first trained for the program in June of this year. The program aims to make life better for shelter dogs, find them homes faster, and keep them in their homes. To date, 6 Mod Squad™ dogs have been adopted into their permanent homes.
