Destructive Behavior in Dogs


One of the most common reasons for dogs to be surrendered to a shelter, is for destructive behaviors. A dog that is destroying furniture and other household items can not only be frustrating, it can be devastating when replacing those items is too costly. After a while, we might think that the only solution is to give away the pet. But, if we stop and think about it this issue from the dog’s perspective, we can better understand the behavior and take steps to prevent it. Sometimes, all our dog really needs is more time and attention from you.
